Forge Incorporates and Adds Stained Glass to Product List
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 23, 2007
Perry, FL – Local Blacksmith Shop Jim Hartman’s Forge has undergone some changes. Now known as Jim Hartman’s Forge LLC, the incorporation of this Blacksmith and Metal Art shop is adding more to its repertoire.
Specializing in Metal Art, gates, fences, Yard Art, and novelty items, glass now becomes part of the Forge. Ann Hartman, Jim’s wife has brought the Art of Stained Glass to the Forge’s skill set. Not only will the Forge be offering simple stained glass creations, but major art pieces as well.
“We will be adding some new tabs and links to our Website that will display simple glass pieces for purchase as well as custom doors, windows and other creations,” said Hartman. “We have already received one commission for a Wine Cellar door, and have now received our first request for an interior Stained Glass and Steel Door. The door will depict a backlit mountain scene with trees, a waterfall, and cat tails.”
Among the new things that are happening with the Forge, Hartman will be setting up a display window in Downtown Perry, FL so that people will be able to see some of the things he is capable of creating. “The window will be where the old Shoe Shop was located, between askSam Systems and Rosehead Café. We hope to have it set up over the next month or so,” says Hartman. “At the current time, all viewings and request are by appointment only. However, if things continue to grow and go well, we will be looking to set up a potential storefront.”
Hartman also works with and displays his art with the Birdsong Nature Center in Grady County, Georgia and with the Main St. Café in Perry, Fl. He has displayed his art at the annual Florida Forest Festival, and has several prestigious clients that he has created pieces for.
Hartman also has many other creations and invites people to call or write for estimates for work that they might wish to have done, or, pieces they may wish to have made. “You don’t see much in ‘one of a kind’ work anymore, everything has become rubber stamped,” he says. “This is a chance to get or give something that is truly unique, that can add elegance and art to life again.”
